Various kinds of vegetables can be grown in Turkey thanks to its different climates and soil types. Eggplant is among these vegetables. In our country, eggplant production may be carried out both in fields and green houses. However; it cannot be grown in every region due to its demand for specific climate and soil, handling conditions and crop alternation preference. Main cities where eggplants are grown in Turkey are; Içel, Antalya, Sanlıurfa, Hatay, Aydın, Bursa, Adana and Samsun.
